MJL have already completed phases 1 & 2 of this highly successful development for Wain Homes with phase 3 well under way and a fourth phase currently under tender review.

The project comprises of a mixture of small and larger house types with split level units created to take the site topography into account.

The scheme included installation of a new adoptable carriageway that diverts adjoining traffic through the site and the installation of extensive 278 works in a number of locations on or around the site.

This development of 118 houses provides MJL with challenges associated with building on a steep gradient with the road meandering down through the site to achieve an acceptable incline for the end user.

There is a large pond area located at the bottom of the site collecting surface water and the site has many split-level units requiring careful planning and strict adherence to the sites traffic management plan because of the severe slopes being encountered.

The site has a variety of RC, masonry and large reinforced earth bank retaining structures throughout which required our full attention.

We would say unequivocally that the site has been one of the more challenging sites undertaken to date by the business.
